Holiday's Solved: Dining Solutions

One of my favorite looks for a dining room is that kind of Americana, just pulled this table from an old farmhouse down the road and sanded it, elegant look. Get where I'm going?

I love the look of a formal dining room and the kind of memories it brings, of dressing up for a holiday and all using the "nice dishes", sitting a big long dining room table...anyway....these new "farmhouse" tables are beautiful, but because they are solid wood and heavy as hell (IE: built to last) they also come at a pretty penny.

For example this table from my favorite place of all time W+S, for just a few bucks under $2000 you could own this beauty.

Or, you could save your well earned dollars, and check out this table at World Market.

The thing I like about (the newly discovered because I have no idea why we don't have them in the Northeast!!) World Market is that their furniture is still all wood, and sturdy and well finished. If you aren't convinced, check out the glowing reviews.

How do you finish off the look of your farmhouse table you ask?

Welp that's easy, take a few upholstered chairs for a traditional look. Spice it up with some metal chairs to give it an industrial vibe. Use a bench on either side to give it a more casual air to it. The possibilities are really endless, think of it as your  blank slate!
